Biography

At the age of six, Caner began taking weekly dance and saz lessons. He pursued this passion for 13 years and, from his very first year, performed on numerous occasions in Wiener Neustadt. Beginning in 2009, he also appeared on stage as a child actor in theatre productions in Wiener Neustadt. Since 2023, he has been represented by Artist Meshwork Management. Caner Demirbağ's path to acting was one of discovery: a casting in 2023 opened the door to a passion that has held him ever since. Today, the Vienna-based actor is known for a working style that combines precision with deep emotional commitment.

His path includes, among other things, the Bregenz Festival (as Alfredo in the film production of La Traviata), the grim world of Krabat I am Theater Akzent, the cheeky, giggling Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with a premiere at Mozarthaus Vienna or Lucien P. Smith, who with the childlike soul in The Boys Next Door, I'm Dschungel Wien or the distorted world, as the Night Watchman in the play Because The Night at Schauspielhaus Wien.

He is currently working on, among other things, Béla Bartók's opera Her­zog Blau­barts Castle with a musictheater show in 2027 in the New State Opera (produced by Vienna State Opera) and lends its voice to innovative projects, such as the „InsideOpera“ Podcast of Vienna State Opera, as well as the Sleep Playlist „Quiet Night: Fairy Tales for Falling Asleep“The podcast is available on Spotify (OpernStoff) Since 2025, he has been in the Ensemble of Theater Sahne, where from January 2026 he also has responsibility for Artistic direction A feature film production, together with Daniel Rösslhumer, is planned for 2027.
